报告摘要:
Ergonomics has been considered as a common sense by the over-confident but ergonomics illiterate public. In recent years, ergonomics is becoming more and more important as the computer technology is empowering human being to do many things in much easier and convenient ways than before. New products integrated the state-of-the-art computer technology with some ergonomic features are considered a good ergonomic design. This trend brings to researchers and developers more confidence in making technological breakthrough while changing their mindsets to believe that they and their products are “smart” or “intelligent”. However, coins have two sides, and when people use coins, most of the time they could see only one side and would not check the other side. In other words, smart or intelligent products are not always benefit human beings even though so many honors and big fortune were given to the companies and their research and development teams. It is necessary to point out that almost all commercial ergonomics designs are market-oriented and the downsides of the designs would be hidden in the first place. Re-considering ergonomics and its ultimate goals from user population point of view, the ultimate ergonomics design and practice are the most natural and least artificial ones. The benefits of the ultimate ergonomics must involve all relevant effects on all aspects including those of the individual, the social, the organizational, and on the long run. If the “ultimate” level of ergonomics design is elaborated, one can easily find out that “Honoring the Mother Nature” is the best design strategy. The most difficult and critical part of realizing the design strategy lies on mobilizing the creativity and innovation that leading to “the most natural and least artificial design”.
报告人简介：
王明扬教授毕业于台南成功大学，留学美国及瑞典，获工业工程（人因工程）硕士与工业人因工程博士，曾任北京清华大学与北京大学客座教授、湖南省海外名师、湖南工学院特聘教授，现为台湾新竹清华大学工业工程学系教授。他的研究兴趣广泛，近年来主要的研究领域在医疗人因工程与病人安全、飞航人因工程、人与计算机互动、系统可用性、网络购物消费者行为、工业安全卫生、人体计测等。其研究成果近二百篇论文，均发表在国际及国内著名期刊、研讨会论文集、专书等之中。王教授为台湾人因工程学会创会会员，历任理事、常务理事、财务委员会主任委员、理事长、国际关系委员会主任委员、派任国际人因工程学会联合会(International Ergonomics Association, IEA)理事、监事，现任常务监事，于201年获选为台湾人因工程学会首届会士(Fellow)。王教授亦曾担任泛太平洋人因工程理事会(Pan Pacific Council on Ergonomics, PPCOE)常务理事、秘书长等职。他于2009年获选为IEA副理事长暨秘书长，2011年获选为IEA Fellow，2012年当选为IEA理事长，为IEA五十三年历史中第二位亚洲籍与首位华籍理事长。目前他担任IEA评奖委员会主席暨卸任理事长。2012年9月，王明扬教授倡议两岸三地人因工程与工效学会应共同为华人的人因工程与工效学合作，终于促成两岸三地三学会于2014年6月24日正式合作成立中华人因与工效学协会(Chinese Association of Ergonomics Societies, CAES)，并于2014年11月15日在湖南衡阳举行第一届人因工程与工效学学术研讨会。经过多年的付出，王明扬教授一直致力于人因工程与工效学的推广，期能促进台湾、华人、区域与全球的社会发展。
